WhatsApp is currently developing a new update that will allow you to cancel a message within five minutes of sending it.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, the option to edit or delete the message will only be available if the other party has not read the message sent - marked with two blue Vs.

The option is supposed to be 'default' and only work with the device user's permission. WhatsApp has not yet confirmed the details.
