יאיר שרקי, כתב לענייני דתות של חברת החדשות של ערוץ 2 מצטרף לרדיו גלי ישראל ויחליף את קלמן ליבסקינד, שפרש לטובת 'כאן', ברצועת הבוקר המרכזית. שרקי יוביל את תכנית הבוקר האקטואלית של התחנה וישדר בימים ראשון עד שלישי מהשעה 8 עד 10. במקביל ימשיך שרקי למלא את תפקידו ככתב הדתות של חדשות 2. שרקי הצטרף לחברת החדשות של ערוץ 2 לפני כשנתיים וחצי, לאחר שסיים את שירותו בגלי צה"ל. בשנה האחרונה הוא פרש מחדשות 2 אל תאגיד 'כאן', אולם חזקר בטו, התפטר ושב אל חדשות 2.

Yair Sharky is another recruit for Galei Israel in recent months, as part of a major move to position a new broadcast schedule that appeals to a wider audience.

In six months, Yotam Zimri, Noam Fathi, and Elad Levy, opinion leaders on social media with tens of thousands of followers, were also recruited, with the aim of creating a combination of the FM platform and new media at the station.
