Free Internet browsing in public places is still not something that is taken for granted in the world of 2016. When traveling abroad, the problem is doubly critical, because you don't always have a cellular browsing package that is appropriate for the place you find yourself in, and every single megabyte consumed will cost you a fortune.
A new interactive map has been released online, showing a comprehensive list of Wi-Fi networks at dozens of major airports around the world. On the map, you can find the airport's official network and password for quick and secure connections.
The map works like a social network, and the data is entered by users and updated in real time, so it is constantly expanding. On the other hand, it will not always be reliable.
Walla Tech notes that in terms of information security, airport networks are considered to be at very high risk.
Therefore, the map not only helps with the password but also in locating the official network, as opposed to open networks that hackers set up to remotely connect to the smartphones of innocent tourists and steal information from them.
