Shmuel, one of the bus passengers and a resident of Modi'in Illit, spoke about the driver's behavior: "The driver smoked during the ride. I came to him nicely, to explain to him that there are people who suffer from smoking because it's a bus without windows and only the driver has a window, and the wind blows all the smoke onto the passengers. He didn't pay attention and started screaming at the passengers. Everyone was scared, anyone who tried to say something to him nicely - got a roar.".

Shmuel continued and said that the driver "presses the brake pedal every second, zigzags from lane to lane, honks the horn nervously all the time, he's just...not on the ground.".
