Does the cat keep the cream? Maor Zaguri, a well-known and respected director and actor in the world of Israeli theater and cinema, is joining the production of a drama series called "The Elevated," which deals with four ultra-Orthodox boys in a prestigious yeshiva in Jerusalem.

However, Zaguri became famous in the past precisely because of a rude statement made to the public.

In one of his weekly columns in the newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, Zaguri writes, referring to the Haredim: "Those who wear black, most of whom do not serve in the army, and grow hair in strange places.".

Zaguri wrote these words in a column in which he described the "ultra-Orthodox" who are leaving the country. Zaguri explains that by the word "ultra-Orthodox" he does not mean those who wear black, etc. - that is, the "regular" Haredim - but rather those who suffer from the trauma of their parents, and so on.

The young television director became famous after creating a series that dealt with the world of Mizrahi Jews in the State of Israel, or as they are called, the 'Second Israel.'.

But Zaguri's sympathy for minorities in the Ashkenazi and Altist Tel Aviv state apparently disappears when he comes to dealing with the Haredi.

Will he now, in working closely with the 'normal' Haredi world that he will be forced to get to know, express himself, how to say, more delicately? We'll wait and see.
