Channel 2 franchise Keshet has increased security around the homes of Avi Nir and Ilana Dayan. This was reported this morning (Thursday) on Channel 10. The security officer of the settlement of Shoresh, where Ilana Dayan lives, told Channel 10 that "after the investigation into Rabbi Pinto was broadcast last week, security was placed around Dayan's home.".
The season finale of the program "Uvda" dealt with Rabbi Yoshiyahu Pinto. The Walla website reported that after the broadcast, Keshet's offices received a threat of a lawsuit for $100 million from Ben Zion Suki, one of Rabbi Pinto's associates, and in response, Keshet removed the investigation from the "Mako" website.
Keshet CEO Avi Nir recently complained to the police that he had noticed several times a person who seemed suspicious sitting in a car near his home. Following the complaint, the police began posting a security guard near Nir's home.
The security officer of the community where the program's host Ilana Dayan lives, located in the suburbs of Jerusalem, also said that during the past night, it was decided to further focus the night security patrols around the area where Dayan lives. One of the host's neighbors said: "Recently, questionable types have started to hang around the area, asking where Ilana Dayan lives." The security officer added: "The security guards are concentrating on people with an ultra-Orthodox appearance, out of fear that they will want to harm Dayan.".
