He did it again: During a minute-long speech in the Knesset, MK Oren Hazan took the opportunity to declare a minute of silence: "In memory of our brothers and sisters who were murdered, killed and fell heroically only because they were Jews" - and brought the entire police commissioner and top brass to their feet.

MK Oren Hazan, the man that Yigal Guetta, the new Shas MK, is trying to imitate, proves once again that he still has something to teach. In a series of one-minute speeches, the cantor chose לנצל את הדקה שלו לדקת דומיה לזכר הנרצחים היהודים. "Honorable Minister, Honorable Commissioner, top police officers, commanders, distinguished guests," Hazan began. "The despicable act of Balad, who went and stood in honor of those murderers of human beings, sharpened for me the difference between us and them. ""We, who sanctify life, while they sanctify death. I have chosen to use my minute as Deputy Speaker of the Knesset for silence, in memory of our brothers and sisters who were murdered, killed and fell heroically simply because they were Jews. Anyone to whom life is important is invited to join me..."" Then he stood in silence. Immediately, the entire police hierarchy sitting in the guest gallery stood up for a minute of silence. As the saying goes: He brought the police to their feet.
