Tomorrow (Tuesday) an 'Open House' day will be held at the Knesset, with the participation of thousands of people, to mark the birthday of the Knesset and the anniversary of the Knesset building: the event will take place between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
'The 'Open House' is expected to include more than 100 different activities by Knesset members who will meet the audience.
Among the programs are music, sports activities, activities related to the "Green Knesset" project, story time for children, and more. The event takes place. .
It is expected that about a third of the groups participating in the 'Open Day' will come from the periphery, in cooperation between the Knesset and the Community Center Society, which has a nationwide presence throughout the country.
At 4:00 PM, a special plenary session will be held to mark the birthday of the Knesset, where Knesset Speaker Yuli Yoel Edelstein, President Reuven (Ruby) Rivlin, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and Opposition Leader MK Yitzhak Herzog will speak.
At the request of Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein, all speeches will address the status of the Knesset, its dignity, and its image in the public.
Edelstein said: "The event will highlight the central place of the Knesset in Israeli public life since the establishment of the state and the way in which the Knesset building on Givat Ram has been significantly present at every event in the history of the state throughout its jubilee years.".
During the day, the garden on the Knesset plaza - Weil Plaza - which is an artistic display will also be inaugurated. Knesset Director General Ronen Plot says: "This year, we have the great privilege of marking the anniversary of the Knesset building with a series of educational events and projects, as well as improving the appearance of the Knesset and the Knesset plaza in an inspiring and creative way. I am happy and excited to see the fruitful and beautiful work.".
One of the main events on this day will take place in the Knesset Auditorium, with an extraordinary panel.
The panel will be called "Twice Edelstein" and will feature Knesset Speaker Yuli Yoel Edelstein and Israeli national basketball team coach Erez Edelstein, discussing leadership, sports, politics, and everything in between. The panel will be moderated by former sports broadcaster and current MK Zuhair Bahloul.
It should be noted that registration for the event has ended, and the possible quota of visitors has already been filled.
