Minister of Social Equality, MK Gila Gamliel, Prime Minister Netanyahu's wife Sara Netanyahu, and their son Yair, lit the eighth candle of Hanukkah tonight together with Holocaust survivors at the 'Amach' center in Jerusalem, which works for the welfare of survivors and their families and provides mental and physical assistance to survivors and the second generation of the Holocaust.
Sara Netanyahu said: "I have been accompanying 'Amach' for many years, out of understanding the importance of psychological and emotional assistance to the generation of survivors and members of the second generation of the Holocaust. The Prime Minister has been assisting Holocaust survivors for many years, with significant budgets and national programs, and this has enormous significance for us as a people and as human beings.
""We will continue to work for you, it is very important to us that you are happy and that you are well.".

""My father was the only survivor of his entire large family," said the Prime Minister's wife, "I lived this reality since childhood, because I had no grandparents, uncles or aunts. When I asked the family why others had them and I didn't, they told me they were murdered. We are commanded not to forget, not to let something like this happen again, not to allow anyone who talks about the desire to destroy us to take action. Talk can lead to action, and therefore we must not underestimate them. Tonight we celebrate the victory of light over darkness and hope that this darkness will never come again.".
During the event, the Prime Minister's wife was asked about the condition of the family dog Kaya, who is in quarantine. Mrs. Netanyahu replied: "We congratulate tonight on the victory of light over darkness and hope that this darkness will never come again, and that both those who walk on two and those who walk on all fours will know only days of light and not of darkness. And speaking of mental matters, I can say that Kaya is in a state of heightened anxiety and trauma, because even before that she was in a difficult situation. She is a very old dog, vaccinated. She is in pain because she was in a difficult physical condition and is now also in a difficult mental condition.".
