In the morning hours (New York time), a local gentile wandered into a synagogue on Parkway and emptied money from the charity coffers.

He walked around the synagogue and gave the impression that he was the maintenance and cleaning man, but the security cameras caught him breaking into charity boxes and emptying them of their funds.

One of the worshippers who noticed this called the "Guardians" organization, which operates in the area, and after watching the video and observing the figure, they went out to survey the area under the protection of the local police.

After searching the area, the thief was found a few blocks from the synagogue. They called the police, who took him into custody. The synagogue worshippers did not seem particularly surprised, saying that similar acts are committed in churches in the area every day.
