The morning meal is the most important meal of the day. Our sources, such as the Rambam and others, also mention the importance of this meal.
But a teacher in New Jersey took this advice one step too far.
The website 'Holes in the Net' featured the story of Arnold Andersen, who was late for work, mind you, 111 times in the last two years, because of breakfast.
The teacher explained that he "became addicted to the habit of eating breakfast to the point of losing track of time.".
The school sought to fire the strange man, who earns no less than $90,000 a year, but a legal arbitrator appointed to hear the case accepted the teacher's argument - and rejected the school's request.
However, the arbitrator rejected the teacher's claim that his learning abilities outweighed these delays.
The teacher was suspended until the beginning of the next calendar year, but as mentioned, the legal arbitrator forced the school to reinstate him. He noted that there is a basis for his claim and the school is required to give the teacher a warning in order to improve his actions.
