Honor: Waldorf Astoria Jerusalem selected among the 10 best hotels in the world

מלון וולדורף אסטוריה בירושלים נבחר על-ידי מגזין התיירות Condé Nast Traveller בין עשרת המלונות הטובים בעולם ב-2015. לפי דיווח של זיו ריינשטיין באתר walla, המלון הישראלי, שנפתח רק לפני כשנה וחצי -  לאחר השקעה של 150 מיליון דולרים, ונבנה על בסיס מלון פאלאס העתיק מ-1929 - דורג במקום השביעי והמכובד עם ציון של 97.500. Every year, the tourism magazine holds a competition to select the best hotels in the world, and this year 128,000 surfers participated in the ranking, providing tens of thousands of reviews, which helped create the list of the 100 best hotels in the world, as well as the list of the best hotels in each region and area. Waldorf Astoria was also named the best hotel in the Middle East category. It received the highest score of all hotels in this category, with second place going to Jumeirah Mina A-Salaam in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, which received a score of 94.345, followed by another UAE hotel, this time in Abu Dhabi - Shangri-La Qaryat Al Bari, with a score of 91.667. איחוד האמירויות הערביות הכניסה בסך הכל שישה מלונות זוכים לעשרת המקומות הראשונים בקטגוריה זו, ישראל שלושה ועומאן מלון אחד. שני המלונות הישראליים הנוספים שדורגו בעשירייה הראשונה  בקטגוריית המזרח התיכון, הם מלון ממילא ומלון המלך דוד בירושלים. מלון ממילא דורג במקום השישי עם ציון של 88.696, ואילו מלון המלד דוד דורג במקום השמיני עם ציון של 87.778. מלון מצודת דוד הירושלמי מוקם במקום ה-15 עם ציון של 82.667. And which is the best hotel in the world? In the 'Best Hotel in the World' category, the Sigita Gromati Hotel in the Serengeti Reserve in Tanzania, East Africa, won, with a score of 99.745.
