Antisemitism in the state of New Mexico in the United States: A Jewish student studying at UNM in Albuquerque was astonished to discover a swastika engraved on the door of his dorm room.

The student, who was deeply hurt, contacted the university administration - which launched an investigation to locate the perpetrators of the crime, and at the same time contacted the local police, who also launched an investigation into the incident.

According to the university, this is not the first time the Jewish student has received insulting messages within the university walls. About a month ago, the student received an insulting letter, he claims, because of his origin. "We are treating this incident seriously, just like any other case, and will investigate it in depth," the university administration claims.
