Mandy Rizel, a reporter for 'Kol Brama' and 'Kav Ya'arish', who last week celebrated his 30th birthday with his twin, received a birthday present: Rizel will soon begin hosting the daily current affairs program on 'Radio Darom' for several days a week.
Radio Darom, the largest 'regional radio' station in Israel, listened to by approximately 200,000 people, with close to 80% ratings in its broadcast areas. In its franchise area, "Radio Darom" is the only regional radio station, hence its strength.
Rizal will likely be the first Haredi to broadcast a current affairs program as a sole broadcaster on regional radio, and on non-religious radio.
Rizal will continue to broadcast simultaneously on Kol Berama and will continue to write in the journalism department. The new position was accepted in full coordination with his current workplaces.
