The Oren Zarif phenomenon: Guilt over ridicule?

The first time I came across the name of alternative therapist Oren Zarif was when he was interviewed on the program of journalists London and Kirshenbaum, and was asked by the interviewers why he forces his employees to enter the name 'Zarif' on their ID cards.

To my surprise, the man did not deny the things and responded with a serious face, because an ordinary mortal has difficulty understanding that the name 'Zarif' has a very strong energetic value.

But after a meeting with healers and through the 'third eye', they came to the unequivocal conclusion that for the common good, it would be worth changing the employees' name to 'Zarif'.

Later, I came across a letter sent by the man's lawyer (a real attorney, with a standard license) to a reality show in which he was supposed to participate, explaining that his client avoided coming at the last minute, as there was a real fear for his life on the site:

""Yesterday at four in the morning, Mr. Zarif dreamed and even saw clearly and tangibly that a giant anaconda snake was lurking around him and was ready to attack him at the first opportunity that came his way. The anaconda snake has been seeking to attack my client since previous incarnations, and this rivalry has existed between the formidable snake and Mr. Zarif since the time of Adam and Eve.".

In recent months, the man flew a helicopter over an area where a popular television show was taking place, to rescue one of the participants, since, according to him, there are oil deposits in the area, and he needs that person to deal with the issue 'urgently and urgently.'.

Whenever Zarif speaks to the camera, he maintains a serious, unsmiling expression, and assures that his statements are not some kind of 'urgency.'.

The viewers' feelings range from smiles, amusement, perhaps compassion, and sometimes even anger.

Like everyone else, I laughed, enjoyed myself, and felt sorry for the man, but only in recent days has the realization that had been lurking there for years penetrated my mind:

We are honored by the disgrace of a poor man.

An entire country, including the ultra-Orthodox sector, turns on its many media programs and collectively mocks a man who is convinced that he is endowed with the gift of God, and with powers that Superman could only dream of, and is just waiting for the next nonsense to come out of his mouth.

And Zarif himself? In a circular process, he receives positive reinforcement from the numerous invitations to various media outlets, without realizing that the joke is being made at his expense.

How do we do it?

Does it at least pass through us, a slight feeling of guilt for the common mockery of the man? Didn't anyone think that the man should be helped, on one level or another, instead of using him as the local clown, whose only mother cries because he is her son?

When Zarif is interviewed by Attila Schompelby of Vint and asks him, almost angrily, why politicians don't call to thank him, why they don't mention Oren Zarif (he often speaks of himself in the third person) for the assistance he provided them in 'Cast Lead' because "with the help of my supernatural powers, I reached the area, moved the missiles left and right... not only did I stop missiles, but hundreds of missiles fell into open areas" - we all laugh good-naturedly, and mutter, "How ridiculous," but forget that by watching him, we are, in fact, helping to perpetuate the miserable situation of this tragic hero.

Zarif should remember, he may earn a few pounds today from his delusional appearances, but eventually, when his very temporary charm disappears, capitalist culture will cast him aside and he will be left with nothing but contempt and ridicule.
