In these turbulent days, as our ship tosses from a suffocating economic wave to a murky security wave, with the voices of "milkmen" responsible for selling milk heard in the background - let's examine what they really offer.

""The Milkman" - that's what the whole town called him.

It's not hard to guess what he did. With the first rays of sunshine, he would load a jug of fresh milk on his back and go from house to house in the town, until he had sold all the milk he had.

Since he had no competitors, and the town's regulations eased taxes on small businesses, the man simply made a fortune from selling milk. A lot of money accumulated in his pocket, until he decided that it was time to enjoy his wealth. He packed his belongings and headed for the port - where he would board a ship for a trip around the world.

On the way to the port, the man stopped at a money changer, so that he could exchange the bundles of bills for individual gold bars – they were easier to carry on the road, and when he was happy and in a good mood, he arrived at the ship. To freedom.

The first few hours of sailing were pleasant. The wind played across the sails, the salty smell of the sea filled their lungs, and the small talk of merchants and sailors passed the time pleasantly. Suddenly, the wind began to whistle in a storm. It shook the ship from side to side and threatened to sink it on its occupants.

When the water was almost up to his neck, the milkman decided that he had no choice but to throw all his belongings into the raging sea to save himself from drowning. This would lighten the ship's weight and it would be tossed from wave to wave until the sea calmed down. The ship's occupants unanimously agreed with him.

Our milkman didn't hesitate. Like everyone else, he threw his belongings into the water. Yes... even the precious gold bars in his bundle.

His friend, who knew about the contents of the milkman's suitcase, approached him and expressed his amazement at the ease with which he had thrown all his money into the water, without moving an eyelid or blinking.

The milkman looked at his friend, smiled bitterly, and told him in one sentence: "The money came from the water and now it's going back to the water." (- to remind you: he sold "milk").

In these turbulent days, when our ship is tossed from side to side among the waves. From a suffocating economic wave to a murky security wave, with the voices of "milkmen" responsible for selling milk heard in the background - let's examine what they really offer: Is the healthy and satisfying milk they are selling us, or are they mixing a considerable amount of water with the milk, just to get rich on our backs and earn a few more gold bars.

I think I will return to this column before the next elections – the ones that are already on the horizon.

Not that it will help, but at least I can say – I told you so!
