Shlomo Boim, a Satmar follower who works in the design and development of computer applications and software, and who developed, among other things, the "Geder" computer filtering system, which is mainly subscribed to by the Satmar community in the United States, last Thursday sold the software company FieldOne Systems that he owns to the computer giant Microsoft, for $39 million.
The software developed by Boim is designed for customer service management. It tracks the performance of customer service employees, visits, treatments, and jobs. Many companies in the American economy use the company's software solution.
Boim will remain working at the company as CEO of Development and a Microsoft employee.
Microsoft announced that it will integrate the software into their existing customer service software.
Ilan Selasky, the company's CEO and co-founder, wrote on the company's blog: "We are very happy to join Microsoft, and are confident that together with our customers and partners we will remain true to our mission of providing customer service, only now, we have a bigger rocket ship in which we can travel to get there. We look forward to the journey together.".
