Photographer Meir Alfasi has launched a new, updated version of his website. The site has undergone a facelift, and it includes hundreds of photos from events he has photographed - weddings, bar mitzvahs, britots, and photos he has taken around the world.
In addition, Alfasi maintains a personal blog, in which he reports on his travels around the world.
The site, built by Shmuel Kaminkar, also includes a version for various mobile devices and tablets.
A review of Alfasi reads: "He has many years of photography behind him, and an impressive resume that includes spectacular documentation from forty countries around the world. He first picked up a camera when he was 14 years old, he says. Even then, it was clear to him that this was what he would do in the following years of his life. Photography is his life.".
""During the years he hid behind giant lenses and sophisticated flashes, he immortalized unforgettable moments: the funeral of Chabad emissaries killed in the attack in Mumbai, India, but also what remained of the Chabad house after the massacre, alongside what was there before.".
""He served as the official photographer for the Chabad World Shluchim Convention, and was thrilled to document 3,500 Shluchim in one photo.".
""He documented events and landscapes around the world. He has a huge photo database that includes hundreds of thousands of photos, all taken by his lens.".
In India, Alfasi also served as a photographer for the Reuters news agency.
