The role of journalist Nadav Perry, who retired from News 10 in favor of Yitzhak Tshuva's businesses, is split into two: The head of the news department at Galei Tzahal, Sefi Ovadia, will serve as the channel's political correspondent, while the role of parliamentary correspondent for the channel's news system will be filled by Yedioth Ahronoth's parliamentary correspondent, Akiva Novik.

Perry announced his retirement from the position of political correspondent in favor of managing the external relations and communications department at Delek Drilling and Avner - subsidiaries of the Delek Group, controlled by Yitzhak Tshuva.

In a letter sent this morning by News 10 CEO Golan Yochpaz to News 10 employees, he wrote: "I am pleased to announce the appointment of Sefi Ovadia - head of the news department at Galie Tzahal, and formerly the station's Knesset correspondent - to the position of News 10's political correspondent, and the appointment of Akiva Novik - the parliamentary correspondent for "Yediot Aharonot" - to the position of News 10's Knesset correspondent. Sefi and Akiva will replace Nadav Peri, and will begin their work soon.".

Yochpaz added: "I am very happy about Sefi and Akiva joining News 10. These are two outstanding journalists, with proven ability in the political field, and who have a long list of significant journalistic achievements to their name.".

""Sefi and Akiva, together with Raviv Drucker and Moav Vardi, will, in my opinion, constitute the leading political-political desk in Israeli media.".

Sefi Ovadia, 31, previously served as head of the news department at Galei Tzahal.  Akiva Novick, 26, served as a military correspondent for IDF Radio and as an editor and producer in the military department. Five years ago, he joined Yedioth Ahronoth - first as a correspondent in the territories and a correspondent for Haredi affairs. At the beginning of the year, Novick was appointed the newspaper's parliamentary correspondent.

Sefi Ovadia: ""After exactly twelve years in the service of Galei Tzahal, I look back with great satisfaction on a long journey as a reporter for over a decade, eight of which were in the political field, and later as the director of the news department.

""Gale IDF will always remain my home for its excellent people, many of whom have become my good friends and others have become mentors in the field of media and journalism.".

""I would like to thank IDF Waves Commander Yaron Dekel for the trust and opportunity he gave me to head the department whose path I began as a soldier in the early 2000s.

""I am excited to soon begin a new chapter in my professional life alongside the excellent team of journalists at News 10, led by CEO Golan Yochfaz, whose journalistic fruits during his time can be seen both in his achievements on screen and in the ratings charts.".
