Baruch Dayan, the truth teller: At Shaarei Tzedek Hospital in Jerusalem, the young man Rafael Shmuel Yosef Orlanchik, son of Rabbi David Meir Orlanchik, one of the most prominent Kretschnif Hasidim in Rehovot, passed away this morning (Monday), at the age of 17.

The deceased, Z"L, suffered from a heart defect and underwent his first heart surgery at the age of 9. Four months ago, it became clear that a pacemaker implant was necessary. Unfortunately, he did not recover from the surgery and went into a coma, and for four months was considered a "vegetation." Last night, the doctors informed his parents that there was a negative change in his indicators, and family members came to be by his bedside when he passed away.

His friends at the Kretshnif Yeshiva say that "they always said about him that perhaps his physical heart was weak, but his true heart was a heart of gold, full of emotion and fear of God.".

His father, Rabbi David Meir Orlanchik, broke the bitter news to his teacher and rabbi, the Rebbe of Kretshnif, who resides in Brazil. The Rebbe asked to bring him for burial in Rehovot.

His funeral will take place at noon from the family home on HaHagana Street in Rehovot, via Beit Midrash Kretshnif - to the city cemetery.

May his memory be blessed.
