Innovation in Meron: As part of the development work at the Rashbi complex, which will be completed by Wednesday, a new pedestrian bridge will be built on Mehadrin Road, which will lead pedestrians across the road and from there they will be able to walk to the parking lots.

In years past, this was not a simple problem for those who adhere to strict modesty standards: anyone who came down from Miron via Mehadrin would reach the main road, walk on the sidewalk to the tunnel, and from there reach the parking lots. This created modesty problems, since the tunnel is intended for families and was not built like Mehadrin.
As mentioned, this year for the first time, there is also a solution for the Mehadrin road. Anyone who comes down from Miron via Mehadrin will go directly onto a bridge that will lead them to the other side of the road - and from there to the parking lots. The bridge will be dismantled immediately after Lag B'Omer.
Another innovation was recorded this year, when the road leading from the tunnel to the parking lots was widened to 12 meters, which will allow walking on the road without modesty problems.
Meanwhile, yesterday, Public Security Minister Yitzhak Aharonovich arrived in Meron, accompanied by MK Eliezer Menachem Mozes. The two met with the police and security forces responsible for 'Operation Meron', and with the heads of rescue organizations who had gathered in the town. The minister entered the memorial, lit a candle and prayed.
