Judy Nir Mozes Shalom, the wife of the Minister of the Interior, who is in charge of the strategic dialogue with the United States, and Deputy Prime Minister Silvan Shalom, tweeted today (Sunday) on her Twitter account a particularly unfortunate tweet directed at US President Barack Obama.

""Do you know what Obama coffee is?" Nir Mozes asked her followers - and answered: "Black and weak.".

Judy quickly realized that it was a not-so-funny joke that made fun of the president's skin color. She quickly removed it, along with a new tweet: "I apologize, that was a stupid joke someone told me.".

She later tweeted, addressing Obama: "I shouldn't have written that inappropriate joke I heard. I love people regardless of their race or skin color. I apologize if I offended anyone.".

The minister's wife added another apology with a wink: "I hope I'll remain a married woman when my husband lands and hears about this. The scariest thing is Steve's reaction to the nonsense I tweeted. Let's hope this doesn't end up in the rabbinate...""
