The price of independence: The security cameras of the Union Bank in the Ramat Beit Shemesh B neighborhood recorded a masked man applying sticky material around the bank's doors and locks.
Branch managers called the police, but the man has not yet been identified.
Local residents tellHaredim10 Because on Memorial Day last week, a heated argument broke out between a group of fanatic city residents and the bank manager, following the hanging of Israeli flags on the bank. The fanatic group demanded that the manager remove the flags - and he refused. Now, residents believe, the response has come in the form of damage to the bank's property.

Ramat Beit Shemesh B is populated by a group of extreme Haredim and is referred to by the other Haredi residents of Beit Shemesh with the unflattering name "The Kasbah." Union Bank is located on Rabbi Yehuda Hanassi Street.
