Baruch Dayan, the truth teller: At Shaarei Tzedek Hospital, the gaon Rabbi Zundel Kreuzer zt'l, the purifier of knowledge of Jerusalem, from the old Yishuv, who was known for his perseverance in Torah and his righteous prayers, passed away this morning (Thursday) at the age of 90. Rabbi Zundel zt'l is the author of "Phirish Or Hama" on the Psalms and the Siddur.

He lived in the Knesset neighborhood, and for many years his home was a dollar-snatching business, run by his sons. After a robbery at his home, he moved to live in his son's house on Peri Hadash Street in recent years.

His wife, may God bless her, was known for being an exceptionally hospitable person. She passed away several years ago, and the late Elyashiv sent him a letter of condolence.

His son, the late Rabbi Aharon Kreuzer, died some time ago from sudden cardiac arrest.

His granddaughter is married to the grandson of the late Rabbi Elyashiv, the son of the late Rabbi Moshe Elyashiv. His father-in-law, Rabbi Elyashiv, instructed the Vaad Rabbinim charity fund to request that Rabbi Kreuzer pray for the donors, as his prayers ascend to the throne of honor.

On Sukkot 5772, Rabbi Kanievsky arrived for a holiday visit at his home.

Although he belonged to the old settlement in Jerusalem, he used to vote in Knesset and municipal elections, according to the instruction he received from the Chazon Ish Zia - to vote for Agudat Israel.

At the beginning of last winter, he wrote a letter of encouragement to the candidates of the Yitzhak-Hadera Knesset Yeshiva and later published a clarification that he had no intention of harming the honor of Rabbi Shteinman and Rabbi Kanievsky.

He left behind sons, daughters, grandsons, granddaughters, great-grandsons and great-great-grandsons who follow in his path - the path of Torah and the commandments.

His funeral will leave from his son's house on Rashi Street at 4:00 PM - for Mount Hamunehot.
