The petitions filed with the High Court of Justice on behalf of the Movement for the Quality of Government against the appointment of MK Aryeh Deri to the position of Minister of Economy and Development of the Negev and the Galilee - do not prevent the Shas chairman from starting work in earnest.
This morning, Deri's office announced the appointment of Barak Sari to the position of advisor for communications affairs in the ministries.
Sari was appointed to replace spokesman Yaakov Bezalel, who was promoted last week to the position of head of Deri's bureau. It is not yet clear whether Sari will be replaced by a spokesperson who will work with the ultra-Orthodox media.

Sari worked for 20 years as an editor in the Schocken network of Haaretz newspaper and was editor of the Israeli newspaper. He previously served as the media advisor to the Minister of Public Security Avi Dichter, as the media advisor to the Minister of Transportation Israel Katz, worked for 4 years as the media advisor to the Minister of Defense Ehud Barak, and in the last term he served as the advisor to the Minister of National Infrastructures, Energy and Water, Silvan Shalom.
