Udi Frieden, co-owner of the leading advertising agency Reuveni-Frieden, who in an interview with 'Globes' attacked Likud voters and called the prime minister derogatory names, apologized today (Thursday) for his comments.

Friedan, who was the advertising director for Moshe Kahlon and the 'Kulanu' party's election campaign, said in an interview he gave to Anat Bain-Lubovitz in the 'Globes' Firma supplement: "Exactly what happened in the '99 elections was supposed to happen to Bibi, when the people's soul was torn from him and we did 'Israel Wants Change' and Barak won," and added: "In my opinion, Bibi is the devil, a bad man, dishonest, quarrelsome, divisive and a swindler.".

Today he tweeted: "I was wrong when I called the prime minister a harsh word. This is our prime minister who was elected through a democratic process.".

""It was an unfortunate choice of an inappropriate word, and for that I regret and apologize," Friedan continued - and also referred to the harm to Likud voters: "I owe an apology to those who were hurt by my words that created an insensitive stereotypical diagnosis, and I also regret that.".

The publicist made it clear that he was aware of the seriousness of the things he said - and explained: "All of the things were said in a state of mental turmoil after emotional involvement in the elections.".

He said, "I choose not to hide behind 'words that were distorted' or 'taken out of context' and I apologize to anyone who was offended.".

Surfer Moshe Levy tweeted in response: "Did you do some soul searching and come to your own conclusion?""
