• In Caesarea, a 4-year-old drowned in a private pool and his condition was described as serious. He was taken to Rambam Hospital by a Magen David Adom team. He is a member of an ultra-Orthodox family from Jerusalem who came to Caesarea for vacation.

• The IDF fired at three terrorists who tried to damage the border fence with Syria, near Kibbutz Ein Zivan. Two of the terrorists were killed. The third managed to retrace his steps.

• Egypt: A journalist and five people were killed during clashes between Muslim Brotherhood supporters and security forces in the Cairo area.

• The Israel Police arrested the head of a criminal organization from the Sharon region and four of his associates, on suspicion of conspiring to commit a crime. The five will be brought before a hearing tonight to extend their detention.

• After being closed for over a month and a half, Egypt decided to open the Rafah crossing for three days on Saturday. Crossing from the Gaza Strip to Egypt will be limited and will only be permitted for those in need of medical treatment, students, foreign citizens, and in humanitarian cases.

 • A fire was reported on the third floor of a building on Mevo Livna Street in Jerusalem. A fire crew that broke into the apartment found it empty. The fire was extinguished, with no injuries.

• On HaNeviim Street, at the corner of Shivtei Yisrael in Jerusalem, two young men threw stones at a moving vehicle. One injured person was treated at the scene in a minor condition.

• Six young Arabs were arrested on Saturday during a demonstration ahead of Land Day in Jerusalem after throwing stones at police. There were no injuries.

• A convenience store located at the gas station at the Coca-Cola intersection at the exit from Bnei Brak was broken into during Shabbat and money and packs of cigarettes worth tens of thousands of shekels were stolen.
