Israelis are connected to tradition, especially on holidays: this is according to a social survey by the Central Bureau of Statistics, which provides a glimpse into the degree of religiosity of Jews living in Israel.
The data shows that holidays Passover, Hanukkah and Yom Kippur are holidays that most traditional and secular Jews also observe.
According to the survey, 82% of the secular participate in the Seder night and 22% of them are very careful to eat kosher during Passover. 10% of them are also careful to eat kosher food all year round. According to the survey, 100% of the religious and ultra-Orthodox participate in the Seder night and eat strictly kosher food during the holiday.
The data also shows that 52% of the traditional and secular try to observe the Sabbath and light candles, but only 11% avoid traveling on the Sabbath. 72% of all Israelis visit synagogue throughout the year, especially on holidays. 24% of the secular try to visit synagogue on holidays, including Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, and Passover.
