As with every Thursday that marks the arrival of a new weekend into the world, I embark on a shopping spree (of basic products) of course , such as hair conditioner), for this weekend, and for next week, which may come at the end of this weekend, and may be for the better.

Every weekend like this I think to myself, if the week had started on the weekend, then the Sunday humiliation would never have come. But thoughts aside and reality aside, the Sunday humiliation does indeed come in a big way. It rushes, hurts, and irritates.

And so I walk, full of self-satisfaction with the fact that I'm the one going shopping and not my wife, and banishing from my head the thought that if my wife had been the one going shopping, what damage the Bank of Israel would have suffered (I'm not a bank, but Israel is selfish).

The shopping trip begins with doubts: which supermarket to go to?

At first, I thought about the supermarket near my house, 'Birkat Yael', which would indeed be a great blessing for Yael if I bought from her. Then, after another moment of thought, I realized that Yael's blessing was actually my curse. I thought about the possibility of shopping at the supermarket chain 'Shufersal', but I was afraid that I wouldn't understand the connection between the price and the product.

Good friends told me about a man named 'Rami Levy' who owns a large chain of particularly cheap supermarkets, and shopping there is a very lucrative business. But I don't feel comfortable making kebabs from Rami Levy's meat.

I saw it in commercials for the "Mega" chain, but I don't like mass events. And "cheap in abundance" is just a description of the prices at the competing chain "Yesh Chesed", and my ancestors already taught me that there are no free gifts.

And so, on the recommendation of family and relatives, I entered "Osher Ad", but as soon as I entered, I realized that I would only find happiness when I left here, and as it seems, I am stuck here forever. Because just seeing the lines in the meat department makes me feel sorry for the carcasses waiting their turn to be cut up. And I won't mention the line at the spice stand.

But since I've already entered, I won't leave empty-handed, after all, politeness is one of the cornerstones I've set for myself. So I did fill a cart with some basic staples such as almond soup, turmeric, and a 55% fine cheese. And after a long and tiring journey whose sole purpose was to fill an empty cart, I reached the checkout.

But there too, a surprise awaited me, long lines stretched on forever. And I endured a long wait. And when finally there was only one customer left in front of me, that customer decided that he could not bear the whole burden on his own, and therefore he would use the services of the courier, but when that parasite does not bear the burden, he also delays others. And this sin of his is not a single sin, because the anonymous customer also decided that he must pay by means of a check, known as a check, and not one but dozens or thousands.

My anger was boiling and foaming, so I left the cart with its merchandise and left the branch (politeness remained in the line for turmeric).

I returned to bless Yael (she doesn't accept checks called checks), and I hope that out of my curse, at least her blessing will come.
