Exhibition at Sapir College Despises Tallit and Tefillin • "Like Before Kristallnacht""

במכללת ספיר ממשיכים במיצגיים המבזים את קודשי ישראל: במסגרת תערוכה בשם 'כוחה של מילה', מופיע  תחת מסווה אומנותי, מייצג בו נראה אדם כשהוא כורך את רצועות התפילין על רגלו, כעין רצועות סנדל, כמו כן הוא מתעטף בטלית עליה רקומה ברכת הטלית, כשהיא משמשת כבגד תחתון על גופו. משום כבוד תשמישי הקדושה, החלטנו שלא לפרסם  את התמונות וסרטון הוידאו המתעדים את המיצג המזעזע. ברשתות החברתיות נכתבו תגובות זועמות רבות כנגד המייצג וכנגד ממכללת ספיר. גם סטודנטים דתיים הלומדים במכללה הביעו בשיחה עם חרדים10 זעם על המיצג. לחרדים10 נודע כי הסטודנטים ניסו לשכנע את הנהלת המכללה להסיר את המראות הפוגעניים, אך ללא הועיל. אחת הגולשות בפייסבוק כתב: "סרטון קשה לצפייה ששלחו הישר ממכללת ספיר שמראה 'אומנות'. זוועה מה שעושים עם תשמישי קדושה. בושה וחרפה. אבל אם הם היו עושים זאת עם קוראן היו נועלים את המכללה לתמיד". והיא מסיימת באיחול: "תמותו עוכרי ישראל". גולש אחר כתב: "ככה היו הימים לפני ליל הבדולח". וגולש נוסף תהה: "מה היה קורה אם הם היו מפרסמים סרטון נגד האסלאם? הם היו נרצחים והמכללה הייתה נשרפת". Sapir College responded: "In recent months, the Internet has been abuzz with unbridled verbal violence. Ordinary citizens stop at nothing to attack citizens they don't know in the name of freedom of expression, and especially in the name of voicing opinions they don't like. This is what the exhibition is about - freedom of thought, freedom of expression, and the power of words to bring about a change in consciousness.". ""Those artists express their opinions or alternatively create works that raise public conflict and discourse. The exhibition thus opens a discussion about disagreement and presents art from both sides of the fence. At Sapir College, there is freedom of expression and thought alongside the cultivation of pluralism and tolerance, and we expose faculty and students to the variety of positions and opinions in the public as part of their education. The public is invited to come to the new gallery and see for themselves the impressive exhibition.".
