Rabbi Dov Domb has resigned from his position at the Tel Aviv Rabbinical Court. This was reported by Yair Sharki inGalei Tzahal.

Maayan Arbiv, spokesperson for the rabbinical courts, confirmed thatHaredim10"The rabbi announced his retirement today.".

The Justice Ministry says in response that if the judge had not resigned, he would have been removed.

Rabbi Dov Domb, together with Rabbi Moshe Ohanuna of the Petah Tikva Rabbinical Court, was at the center of the "Dayanim Case" - which Lahav 433 was investigated by the National Fraud Investigation Unit (NFIU), in light of suspicion that the judges acted to influence parties in a number of divorce cases brought before them, while discrediting witnesses to change their testimony, obstructing legal proceedings and investigation, and breach of trust.

The head of the Investigations Division accepted the unit's position that an evidentiary infrastructure has been formed for the commission of the offenses attributed to the suspects.

The investigation file was transferred for further processing to the Tel Aviv District Attorney's Office, which is overseeing the handling of the case, and will be brought to the decision of the Attorney General, who approved the investigation of the suspects.
