At Zion Wineries in the Adumim Plain, over 100,000 liters of wine were set aside as donations and tithes from the past year.

The event was attended by the rabbis of the two kashruts that grant kosher certification to the winery - the 'Urdu Congregation' and the Datz Beit Yosef, headed by the rabbi Moshe Yosef. During the event, donations were poured from each container containing wine, and then, with the blessing recited by Rabbi Soloveitchik, the central tap was opened - and thousands of liters were discharged into the local drainage system.

Rabbi Moshe Yosef, who arrived at the scene, greeted the owners with admiration and wished them abundance and success in all their endeavors, hoping that they would meet in two years for a similar event - since there are no tithes in the year of Shemitah.
