Who said the housing crisis has no solution?

A Chinese construction company called Winsum has developed an unconventional product that could solve the housing shortage: a house made from a giant 3D printer.

The materials the company uses are made of concrete and reclaimed building materials, but the resulting product is a flexible, durable, and environmentally friendly material. The company still does not allow visitors to its factory for fear that its professional secrets will be revealed, but it is convinced that it is about to conquer the world: "In a few years, this will be the most common form of construction in the world," said the company's CEO.

The BBC website that reported the story explains that the price of an apartment in China today is hundreds of thousands of shekels. According to the new method, it will be possible to sell a printed house for less than $5,000 per unit. The factory promises that they will be able to produce - print about 10 housing units per day.

The CEO further says that with the 3D printing method they developed, you will also be able to build skyscrapers in the future, quickly and cheaply. Now, he explains, according to Chinese building regulations, it is not legally possible to build houses that are not one-story using the new method.

3D printing has become increasingly popular in recent times. Manufacturers and designers have been able to make everyday items like jewelry and furniture easier to produce using the new development, and recently, there was a disturbing report about the development of plastic weapons using this method.
