A television camera placed in one of the shops in the area was able to capture a car sliding into a river in Qishan County in eastern China.

The car, a Volkswagen, veered off course, crashed into the guardrail and plunged into the water.

There was a female driver in the car who managed to get out of the car, but the high wall did not allow her to climb onto the street.

Passersby tried to help her, but only after 10 minutes were they able to lower a rope made of clothes to the terrified woman. After 20 minutes, she was safely pulled out.
