Another fall in Elad: A two-year-old toddler fell from the third floor on Ibn Gabirol Street.
Volunteer paramedics from the United Hatzalah Elad branch provided her with first aid at the scene, after which she was evacuated to the hospital in moderate to serious condition - and conscious.
Shmulik Avraham, a United Hatzalah medic, who lives nearby and was the first to arrive at the scene, said: "When I arrived at the scene, I came across a two-year-old girl who had fallen from the living room window of the house, on the third floor, onto the balcony on the second floor.
""I provided her with initial medical treatment until additional paramedics and an ambulance crew arrived. After the initial treatment, she was transferred to the hospital for tests and treatment. This is a miracle - the incident could have ended in disaster.".
The circumstances of the incident are being investigated.
This is the second case of a child falling in Elad within a week. The previous time, a 10-year-old boy was seriously injured as a result of a fall from a height on Saturday afternoon on Shimon HaTzadik Street in Elad.
Volunteer paramedics from the United Hatzalah branch of the Elad branch provided him with initial medical treatment, and he was taken to receive medical treatment at the Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva, where he was sedated and on a ventilator.
Yesterday, a toddler fell from the window of his third-floor home on Rachel Amano Street in Jerusalem – and through miraculous private care, he was only moderately injured.
The United Hatzalah organization reiterates its call on parents and adults to prevent children and teenagers from climbing or playing in places where there is a risk of falling from a height.
