United Hatzalah medical teams provided first aid and saved the life of a 91-year-old man who was choking in his home on Abir Yaakov Street in Jerusalem.
Yossi Wilensky, Hanoch Ram and Eliezer Hess, United Hatzalah paramedics who arrived first at the scene, said: "We provided him with initial medical aid while working to extract a foreign body that was stuck in his trachea.
Miraculously, during the rapid treatment, a piece of pear was removed from his trachea and he began to breathe on his own again.".
He is being treated at a hospital.
