Degel Hatorah Chairman, MK Moshe Gafni, entered a discussion today (Tuesday) in the Finance Committee discussing the state's participation in funding the Day Care Law - and was surprised to see Gil Limon, the Deputy Attorney General, participating in the discussion.
He turned to Gil Limon: "Did you come to oppose working Haredi women? Anti-Semites.".
Deputy Attorney General Gil Limon presented the Justice Ministry's position in the discussion, claiming: "Even after the law is passed and the benefit is based on the woman's employment, from our perspective, when the husband evades military service, the benefit cannot be given to the family.".
The committee's discussion was adjourned after a commotion broke out.

The law is intended to regulate the issue of daycare subsidies for ultra-Orthodox families even in cases where the father is defined as being subject to military service, following a High Court ruling on the matter.
