
A 20-year-old protester from the Jerusalem faction was evacuated this evening (Monday) from Highway 4 near the Ganot interchange in serious condition - after being hit by a motorcycle during the demonstration.
The rescue forces called to the scene provided the young man with initial medical treatment, and he was evacuated in serious condition, with injuries to his head and limbs, for further treatment at Sheba Hospital in Tel Bashomer.
Rescuers Eliran and Tari and Naftali Halberstadt, who were first to arrive at the scene: "When we arrived at the scene of the demonstration, we found a pedestrian, a 20-year-old man, suffering from head and limb injuries, after being hit by a motorcycle during a demonstration taking place there.
""We provided him with initial medical treatment, including immobilization and dressings, and he was evacuated in serious condition to continue receiving medical treatment in the trauma room at Sheba Hospital in Tel Hashomer.""
Eyal Mor Yosef, the United Hatzalah medic who arrived first, and paramedics Haim Meir Levy and Yair Porush said: "This is a pedestrian who was hit by a motorcycle during a demonstration at the scene. After the medical treatment we provided him at the scene, he was taken to the hospital suffering from injuries to his limbs.".
MDA paramedics Avi Raymond, Naftali Halberstadt and Moshe Weinman said: "We saw the pedestrian lying on the side of the road, unconscious and suffering from serious injuries to his body, after being hit by a motorcycle at the protest site. We provided him with life-saving medical treatment and evacuated him to the hospital in serious condition.""
