Near the start of Shabbat, a 60-year-old pedestrian was injured in a car accident on Rabbi Schach Street in Bnei Brak.
Rescue forces called to the scene provided him with medical treatment, and he was taken to the hospital in moderate condition, with head and abdominal injuries, for further treatment.
Paramedics Yossi Schwartz and Dudi Foreis, who were first to arrive at the scene: "When we arrived at the scene of the traffic accident, we found a pedestrian, a man about 60 years old, suffering from head and abdominal injuries, after being hit by a vehicle.
""Together with MDA medics and paramedics, we provided him with initial medical treatment, including immobilization and dressings, and he was evacuated in moderate condition for further treatment in the hospital's trauma room.".
The rescue notes that when Shabbat begins, it is especially important to be careful on the roads, because pedestrians begin to walk on the empty roads, and drivers are in a particularly hurry.
