Due to the escalation in the north: Home Front Command tightens guidelines and cancels studies

Following the escalation and increasing rocket fire by Hezbollah: The Home Front Command updated the defense guidelines on the northern border on Saturday night.

The new guidelines will be in effect until Monday evening.

The confrontation line guidance area and the communities of Meron, Bar Yochai, Or HaGnuz, Safsofeh, Yesod Hama'aleh, Kasra-Sami'ah, Beit Jan and Sde Eliezer will move to a reduced activity level.

    • Educational activity - Educational activity cannot be held.
    • Workplaces - can operate in a place from which it is possible to reach a standard protected space during the defense.
    • Gatherings and services - in open areas up to 50 people and in buildings up to 200 people.
    • The beaches are closed to the public.

    The Upper Galilee, Northern Golan guidance areas and the communities of Katzrin and Kedmat Zvi will move to a partial activity level.

      • Educational activity - can be held in a building or place from which a standard protected space can be reached during the defense.
      • Workplaces - can operate in a building or place from which a standard protected space can be reached during the defense.
      • Gatherings and services - in open areas up to 50 people and in buildings up to 200 people.
      • The beaches are closed to the public.

      During Shabbat, dozens of rockets were launched towards the settlements on the confrontation line, along with unusual firing towards Safed and Nahariya - for the first time since the declaration of a ceasefire in Lebanon.

      Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu convened an urgent situation assessment to discuss the Israeli response.
