
On Saturday evening, firefighters rescued a 25-year-old young woman from an ultra-Orthodox family in critical condition from a fire in an apartment on Abir Yaakov Street in the Neve Yaakov neighborhood of Jerusalem.
The young woman was evacuated in critical condition while undergoing CPR to Hadassah Mount Scopus in Jerusalem after being trapped in an apartment that caught fire.
According to a report by Chaim Golditch in Kan News, the suspicion that the fire was caused by arson was examined.
Hanoch Ram and Yaakov Israel, head of the Neve Pisga branch of the United Hatzalah, and his deputy and paramedic Daniel Katzenstein, said: "This is a young woman who was rescued by fire crews from the building while she was without a pulse and not breathing due to smoke inhalation. We performed CPR on her at the scene and then she was evacuated for further treatment at the hospital, and at this stage her condition is classified as critical.".
MDA paramedics who were present at the scene said: "We saw thick black smoke rising from the first floor of the building. The fire department rescued a 25-year-old woman who was unconscious, without a pulse and not breathing. We evacuated her to the hospital in critical condition and we are fighting for her life.".
