A Chabad yeshiva student was arrested at the recruitment office in Tel Hashomer.
According to a report by Mandy Rizal, the young man - an 18-year-old resident of Lod - came to regularize his status with the help of medical documents attesting to his condition, as part of a process he has been conducting with the IDF in recent weeks.
On Wednesday, he was called to bring the documents in his case to the recruitment office in Tel Hashomer, but was informed that he was under arrest.
That evening his trial took place and he was sent to 20 days in military prison.
His parents claim that they fear his health will deteriorate and that he was not allowed to speak to his parents for nearly 24 hours - from his arrest until yesterday morning.
A military source said in response: The recruitment office in Tel Hashomer acted according to procedures.
