Tragedy in Or Akiva: A three-year-old boy was hit by a car on King Saul Street in the city this evening (Wednesday) and was critically injured.
The rescue forces called to the scene performed CPR on him and evacuated him to Hillel Yaffe Hospital in Hadera - where doctors fought for his life for a long hour until they were forced, heartbreakingly, to declare him dead.

Northern District ZAKA volunteers were called to the scene and are working to collect the findings at the scene.
Liron Amar, a volunteer from the Northern District ZAKA, who arrived at the scene, said: "When we arrived, we saw a difficult scene where a 3-year-old child was killed after being hit by a vehicle. The Northern District ZAKA volunteers worked to collect the findings.""
The circumstances of the accident are being investigated by the police.
MDA paramedics Yosef Friedman and Idan Elmalah said: "The child was lying on the side of the road unconscious, without a pulse and not breathing, with serious injuries to his body, after being hit by a vehicle. We provided him with life-saving medical treatment and evacuated him to the hospital in critical condition, and we are fighting for his life.".
