The murderous terrorist organization Hamas confirmed this morning (Wednesday) that the leader of its military wing in the Gaza Strip, Muhammad Odeh, has been eliminated.
Odeh was killed 10 days after his predecessor, Izz ad-Din Haddad. According to a report in Gaza, along with Muhammad Odeh, his wife, two sons, and daughter were also killed.
During the war, Odeh served as head of the intelligence headquarters and as a member of Hamas's Supreme Military Council.
He was among the architects of the October 7 massacre and at that time served as head of Hamas's intelligence headquarters. In recent months, he served as deputy head of Hamas's military wing in Gaza until his commander was eliminated - and he was appointed to replace him.
Defense Minister Yisrael Katz issued a statement praising the IDF and the Shin Bet for the precise assassination. "The commander of the number 4 military wing of the Hamas terrorist organization in Gaza was eliminated yesterday and sent to meet his accomplices in the depths of hell. On behalf of the Prime Minister and on my behalf, congratulations to the IDF and the Shin Bet for the brilliant execution.".
""We pledged to eliminate everyone who led the October 7 massacre and that's what we will do: they are all mortal everywhere. We pledged that Hamas will not have civilian and military control in Gaza and that will be the case, and the voluntary immigration plan from Gaza will also be implemented - everything in a timely and correct manner,",
Earlier, three sources in Hamas in Gaza told the Saudi newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat that those who identified Odeh as dead were his family members. According to a source quoted in the newspaper, at least three missiles were fired from fighter jets at the building where Odeh was staying in the Rimal neighborhood, causing extensive damage to it and the surrounding area.
According to the report, 20 minutes after Odeh was killed, a helicopter carried out another attack on a second apartment, hundreds of meters away from the first, which led to the injury of several people - including a field commander in the intelligence apparatus of Hamas' military wing, which Odeh commanded before being appointed commander of the military wing.
The IDF spokesman and Shin Bet spokeswoman announced this morning that "in an attack in the northern Gaza Strip yesterday, the terrorist Muhammad Odeh, who served as the head of the military wing of the Hamas terrorist organization after the assassination of Izz al-Din Haddad, and as the head of the organization's intelligence headquarters, was eliminated.".
According to the announcement, as part of the joint operation by the IDF and Shin Bet to eliminate terrorist Muhammad Odeh, several buildings in the heart of Gaza City that served as a hideout for him were attacked, following months of intelligence surveillance aimed at tracking his movements and the movements of his assistants in the organization.
At the same time, a nearby apartment belonging to a Hamas terrorist who raided on October 7 and was part of Odeh's circle of supporters was attacked.

Odeh served as head of the military wing of the Hamas terrorist organization for the past two weeks, after the assassination of Izz al-Din Haddad.
In recent years, Odeh served as the head of the intelligence headquarters of the terrorist organization Hamas. As part of his role, he was responsible for planning and including the targets of the attacks and raids by Hamas terrorists as part of the terrorist organization's massacre on October 7.
In addition, throughout the war, Odeh was involved in directing numerous terrorist attacks and led the effort to collect and analyze intelligence in order to produce terrorist plans against IDF forces and citizens of the State of Israel. The intelligence apparatus of the Hamas terrorist organization under his command supported the organization's terrorist operations and provided the cover for its operations, which posed a threat to IDF forces and citizens of the State of Israel.

The last remaining member of Hamas's top brass on October 7: Imad Aqel
""He is still one of the last senior commanders in Hamas' military wing who commanded the planning and execution of the October 7 massacre and the management of the fighting against IDF forces. His elimination constitutes a significant blow to the attempts to rebuild the Hamas terrorist organization," the joint statement said.
