Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed today (Tuesday), at the beginning of the political-security cabinet meeting, the expansion of the operational activity of IDF forces on the northern border.
Netanyahu clarified that the military moves are being made in full coordination with the senior political and military echelons. He said that activity on the ground is expanding with the aim of achieving operational control in key areas.
""Under my direction and that of the Minister of Defense, together with the Chief of Staff, we are deepening our operation in Lebanon," the Prime Minister declared.
Netanyahu detailed the nature of the activity: "The IDF operates with large forces in the field and seizes controlled areas. We are fortifying the security strip to protect the northern settlements.".
In addition to the forces' ground activity, the Prime Minister addressed the aerial threats: "We are conducting a huge national effort to promote creative and innovative solutions against explosive drones.".
Netanyahu emphasized: "We support and praise our heroic commanders and soldiers. They are deep in the field. We trust you.".
