Starting today: The Home Front Command announced that it will provide advance guidance on the firing of rockets and missiles from Lebanon when operational conditions allow.
The advance directive will be distributed on the Home Front Command app, the Home Front Command's personal messaging platform (CB), the National Emergency Portal, and the Home Front Command's Telegram channels.
The preparation time provided by the advance warning of this threat will be relatively short and will vary depending on the distance from the source of the shooting:
Upon receiving advance warning of firing from Lebanon, you must approach a protected area, so that when the alert is activated, you can enter it according to the defensive time in your area.
It should be emphasized that there will be cases in which an alarm will be activated without prior notification. Likewise, there may be cases in which prior notification is received but no alarm will be activated.
""The Home Front Command will continue to examine and improve the capabilities of warning citizens, with the aim of giving the public additional time to reach the protected area safely, wherever possible," the IDF statement said.
Commander of the Home Front Command, Maj. Gen. Shai Klapper: "Out of a deep commitment to the security of civilians and to improving defense capabilities, we have completed a professional process designed to provide advance guidance on firing from Lebanese territory. The goal of the move is to allow the public additional preparation time before receiving a warning.".
