Today (Tuesday) a ceremony was held to change the name of the 'Ketziot' prison and announce its new name - 'Lavi' prison.
In addition, as part of the implementation of the governance circle policy led by the Commissioner, Kobi Yaakovi - the prison fighter at the center of organizational attention and action, a swimming pool was inaugurated for the first time in the organization's history for the benefit of prison fighters and the organization's staff.
The ceremony was held in the presence of Prison Commissioner Kobi Yaakovi and with the participation of Southern Prison Commander Yuval Erlich, Prison Commander Menachem Bibas, the senior command staff of the Prison Service, prison fighters, and representatives of other security agencies.
Kobi Yaakovi: "At this time, you are the ones who ensure that Israel's victory will be preserved even in the most challenging places. If the desert teaches us modesty, then you teach us heroism. With these two qualities - modesty and heroism - bear the new name with pride, continue to stand shoulder to shoulder, guarding the walls of the state and ensuring its future.".
