The troll? Opposition figures have inquired with United Torah Judaism whether they would support a constructive no-confidence motion in which Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would be replaced by another candidate.

According to a report this evening (Monday) by commentator Amit Segal on Channel 12, Torah Judaism did not reject the proposal out of hand.

According to the report, United Torah Judaism members told those who contacted them that they would not support opposition leader Yair Lapid, and certainly not Yuli Edelstein of the Likud. They suggested the name of Benny Gantz.

But, as they understand it, the opposition would agree to a move to replace Netanyahu - only if Gantz pledged not to run in the elections.

The opposition now has 52 members, and United Torah Judaism has another 7 members of Knesset. That is, together they are only 2 votes away from a majority in the Knesset.

Blue and White claimed that no one spoke to them about the issue.

Yesh Atid responded: "We hear all the briefings from the Haredim about constructive distrust. We weren't born yesterday, we know all these exercises, and we're not here to help them raise prices with Netanyahu.

""There will be no deal on recruitment, finances, or core studies. We will not do business with them on the backs of the serving and working public. In the coming months, we will go to the elections and win.".
