Rescue forces were called to a Bnei Brak apartment on Monday afternoon, following a report of a toddler who had been suffocated.
The forces that arrived at the scene provided her with initial medical treatment and she was evacuated for further treatment to Schneider Hospital in Petah Tikva.
Paramedics Leiby Weiss and Daniel Horberg: "When we arrived at the house with an MDA ambulance that we were manning, we found a one-year-old baby girl having difficulty breathing, after the parents said she had swallowed two toy parts.
""Together with rescue and MDA medics and paramedics, we provided initial medical treatment, including the Heimlich maneuver to remove the toy, and after one of the pieces came out, she was evacuated for further treatment and removal of the second piece at Schneider Hospital in Petah Tikva.".
The rescue organization notes that there has recently been an increase in the number of babies swallowing toys, and asks parents to pay increased attention to toys that could cause life-threatening choking.
The hospital reported that her condition was classified as serious, and she was admitted for surgery to remove the remaining game.
The public is asked to pray and invoke God's mercy for the full recovery of baby Nechama Bat Hinda.
