As in civil society, in prisons, watches are in some cases a symbol of special status.

In recent days, a focused operational activity has been conducted in the districts, in which prison fighters from Dekel Prison work together with a Southern District Unit to locate watches that are not sold in the canteen - and are prohibited from use in prison facilities.
During the activity, watches that were held in violation of procedures were located and seized.
The prisoners involved were subject to disciplinary action.
